This brand design came out of the transformation of a historic Victorian building into a modern restaurant located in Carrick-on-Shannon, Ireland. The design was meant to attract new customers, especially tourists, and harness the feeling of a family place. The restaurant is situated along the banks of the river Shannon in a port filled with boat moorings, rowers in particular. Thus, the concept was to create a fusion between rowing and eating; within a figure that could represent both activities. The brand associates with the moment the oarsmen approaches the dock, while also referencing a vessel for food. The brand was warmly received and Victoria Hall successfully completed its transformation into a popular international restaurant, attracting a large number of customers from both near and far.
